Characteristics of the solid-state silicone rubber
Solid-state silicone rubber is composed of special silica raw rubber and high-purity silica powder mixture, so it has the properties of both inorganic and organic materials
Excellent characteristics of solid-state silicone rubber over other organic rubber:
- 1. Heat resistanceSilicone rubber is almost unchanged at 150C ℃, and still maintains good elasticity, while organic rubber changes brittle.
- 2. Cold resistanceThe brittlement temperature of silicone rubber is-60℃ ~ -70℃, while the general organic rubber is-20℃ ~ -30℃, so it can still maintain excellent characteristics at low temperature.
- 3. Weather resistanceSilicone rubber has the physical characteristics of contact with ultraviolet light, wind, and rain for a long time.
- 4. Oil resistance, solvent resistance and chemical resistanceSilicone rubber has excellent oil resistance compounds at high temperatures. They also have superior anti-solvents and other chemicals, and polar organic compounds and dilute acids and bases are virtually unaffected.
- 5. Electrical insulationSilicone rubber is electrical insulation over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies. Even when soaked in water, there is little decline.
- 6. Compression is permanently crookedThey can maintain a superior compression and permanent tilt in a stable temperature range (-60℃ to + 250℃).
- 7. Transparency and coloringSilicone rubber is highly transparent, meaning that they can be easily colored with colorful pigments.
